How the package works
Ultrasound and electrotherapy address pain and inflammation in somewhat different ways — ultrasound works thermally and mechanically on deeper tissue layers, while a chosen current reduces pain and stimulates circulation closer to the surface. Combining both in the same series often gives more noticeable relief than either modality alone.
Chronic inflammation of tendons or joints rarely settles after a single treatment, so the 6+6 package is built for a regular rhythm of visits over several weeks, at a lower total cost than paying for the same number of sessions individually.
The number and schedule of sessions is set by the therapist after an assessment, and can be adjusted during the series if the plan isn't giving the expected result.
