Post-surgical rehabilitation

A structured, phased recovery program after knee, hip, or other joint surgery.
Post-surgical rehabilitation is a phased program (early, middle, late stage) that follows your healing pace after joint surgery, combining electrotherapy and CPM with individual exercises to gradually restore movement and strength.
Price: 170,00 € (18-session package)
How it works
The fastest, safest recovery after surgery comes from a structured program that follows your healing pace — not from total rest, and not from loading the joint too soon. The program moves through early, middle, and late recovery phases.
We combine electrotherapy and CPM (Kinetek) in the early phase to reduce pain and swelling, then individual exercises to gradually restore movement, strength, and function.
Treatment steps
- 1Early phase (roughly weeks 1-2, depending on the procedure) — reducing pain and swelling (electrotherapy, CPM)
- 2Middle phase (roughly weeks 3-6) — gradually restoring movement and loading, once the therapist judges the joint ready
- 3Late phase (from roughly week 6 on) — strengthening and returning to daily activities

When can I start rehabilitation?
Depends on the procedure and your surgeon's instructions, usually a few days to a few weeks after surgery.
Do I need my surgeon's referral?
A formal referral isn't required to book, but we always align your recovery protocol — weight-bearing limits, range-of-motion targets, how fast we progress — with your surgeon's instructions. Bring your discharge letter or surgical report to your first session.
How long does the full program take?
The package covers 18 sessions of combined modalities, scheduled according to your recovery phase and the therapist's recommendation.
Which procedures do patients most often come in after?
Most often after knee surgery (arthroscopy, meniscus, ACL), a knee or hip replacement, and after a longer period of rest that has left the joint stiff.
How much does post-surgical rehabilitation cost, and does HZZO cover it?
The 18-session package costs €170.00. Atlas has no HZZO contract — everything is paid directly, at the price quoted upfront, with no hidden costs.
What post-surgery symptoms need an urgent call to a doctor instead of coming to rehab?
Sudden swelling, redness, or calf pain (a possible sign of blood clot), fever, wound drainage or an unpleasant smell, or sudden, severe pain that isn't easing — contact a doctor or emergency services right away, don't wait for your next session.
